Communications Team

What does a Website Manager do?

  • Oversee and manage website updates, ensuring content is current, relevant, and optimized for user experience.
  • Collaborate with project teams to publish content and maintain a strong online presence.
  • Implement and improve SEO strategies to enhance the visibility of YES-Europe’s website.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on WordPress, ensuring smooth functionality.
  • Shape the online experience for visitors by managing navigation and site structure.
  • Track website performance and provide regular insights and recommendations.

Finance Team

Are you interested in the renewable energy transition and passionate about sustainability? Do you want to contribute to advancing youth-led projects in this field?

If this resonates with you, apply to be part of our Finance Team!

What does a Finance Manager do? YES-Europe conducts various projects that empower young leadership in the renewable energy transition and sustainable development. These include policy reports, trainings, events, podcast episodes, and delegations to conferences such as COP and EUSEW (EU Sustainable Energy Week). The Finance Team works closely with all project teams, supporting them with fundraising, financial partnerships and budget planning. The team supports both ongoing projects and future initiatives of YES-Europe through long-term fundraising strategies, which the Finance Managers will actively get to shape.

New joiners will get to work closely with the COP29 and POWERYOUTH project teams as well as with the teams who are organising the main events in YES-Europe’s annual calendar. The successful candidate should be able to dedicate 2-5 hours per week to their tasks.

Being a Finance Manager in YES-Europe means:

  • Coordinating fundraising activities for YES-Europe’s projects.
  • Being in charge of financial partnerships and relations with sponsors.
  • Liaising with the Country Teams of YES-Europe to ensure that they have adequate funding opportunities.
  • Keeping track of fundraising timeline and milestones.
  • Shaping the long-term fundraising plans of YES-Europe.
  • Being the main point of contact between the Finance Team and any project team to which the Finance Manager is assigned.
  • Practicing optimism and seeking constant progress.

Data Visualization & Technical Specialist for the Policy Map Project

What is the Policy Map Project?

The Policy Map Project is a new initiative by YES-Europe, launching in early 2025. The project aims to create a dynamic, evolving database consolidating energy and climate policies from European countries, with a special focus on youth-related policies and best practice examples. This database will serve as a resource for policymakers, youth organizations, and the public, facilitating cross-border collaboration and knowledge-sharing on effective policy models.

The project will rely on local teams across Europe who will collect key legislative texts, regulations, and strategies related to energy and climate action. By structuring and visualizing this data effectively, the Policy Map will become a valuable tool for tracking policy trends, comparing frameworks, and analyzing the evolving landscape of European energy and climate policies.

We are now recruiting a Data Visualization & Technical Specialist to help bring this project to life!

Your Role

As a Data Visualization & Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing interactive visualization tools for the Policy Map. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing interactive maps and dashboards to present the collected data in an accessible and user-friendly format.
  • Ensuring the smooth functionality of visualization tools and troubleshooting technical issues related to database integration and front-end display.
  • Collaborating with research teams to structure and categorize policy data in ways that enhance usability and insights.
  • Optimizing user experience (UI/UX) to create intuitive and engaging interfaces for different audiences, including policymakers, researchers, and youth organizations.
  • Maintaining and updating the visualization tools as new data is collected and policy trends evolve over time.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, international team environment.
  • Prior experience in GIS mapping, policy research, or interactive dashboard creation is a plus.

What is the Policy Map Project?

The Policy Map Project is a new initiative by YES-Europe, set to launch in early 2025. Its goal is to create a dynamic, evolving database that consolidates energy and climate policies from European countries, with a special focus on youth-related initiatives and best practices. This database will serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, youth organizations, and the public, enabling cross-border collaboration and knowledge-sharing on effective policy models.

The project will be implemented by local teams across Europe, who will gather and report key legislative texts, regulations, and strategies on energy and climate action. By structuring policy information in a standardized format, the database will allow users to track trends, compare policy frameworks, and analyze the evolving landscape of European energy and climate policies.

We are now recruiting team members to support the project’s research, analysis, and editorial processes.

Your Role

As a Policy Research Analyst and/or Editor, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of the database. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing gathered policies to identify trends, categorize them by key dimensions (e.g., policy area, instruments, technologies), and synthesize best practices.
  • Ensuring data accuracy by conducting audits of submissions and overseeing alignment with data standards.
  • Developing structured reports and insights to highlight key policy trends and facilitate cross-country comparisons.
  • Improving editorial quality by reviewing policy entries, ensuring clarity and coherence in the presentation of information.
  • Collaborating with local research teams to guide the collection process and provide feedback on submitted data.
  • Contributing to data visualization and reporting efforts to make policy insights more accessible to different audiences.

What is the YES-Europe Podcast? The podcast “Talk Energy With YES-Europe” is a series of
audio episodes where YES-Europe volunteers interview invited guests. Two seasons have been
produced already and can be found on Spotify. Each episode raises various aspects of the
renewable energy transition and sustainable development. The making of each episode requires
work behind the scenes by a team of volunteers. People volunteering with YES-Europe are
mainly young professionals or students in the energy and sustainability sector, 18-35 years old
and based in Europe. The Project Lead’s role is to lead the Podcast Team together with one
other Project Lead.

We are recruiting a new Podcast Team to produce a third season of the podcast. This vacancy is
one of several. New joiners to the team will begin their work in early 2025. The content of the
episodes will be shaped by the team members themselves. Episodes will be planned, recorded
and published throughout 2025.

Being the Project Lead of the Podcast project means:
